Hello friends of Peace,
Getting What You Want
First, are you getting what you want? This week, God shows us two people in his Word. One seems to get everything that he wants, the other doesn’t seem to get anything that he would want. It makes us ask, are we getting what we want? Do we really want what we want?
Have you figured out what you want? Maybe spend some time reviewing your future vision and goals… Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind® | FranklinCovey
Welcome Home
Second, we're bold builders building this Christian congregation. Let's come together as God's people on October 30th at our “Welcome Home”.
As part of our Welcome Home we’re collecting items to tell our story of “bringing people the gospel”. Do you have…

Voters’ Meeting
Third, we want you all to be part of the discussion and decisions for our church's mission and ministry in 2023.
The voters’ meeting this Sunday, October 16 at 10:45 is a great chance for us to publicly praise, thank, honor, and glorify God for the work he has done this past year, and to ask him to do more than we could ask for in 2023.
final approval to our updated bylaws, a process we started back in 2020
our 2023 ministry plan and budget
Those decisions will be finalized at the voters’ meeting. For all the information, please visit https://peaceotsego.org/peacenews/2022/09/22-phcea

We’ve started our recent session of Financial Peace. We have 6 people there - a good group. Pray for us! Pray that we are wise stewards of God’s gifts.

This week I’d like to thank Ron Miller. Ron has worked for the Lord at Peace in so many different ways over the years. For the last few years, he has ushered so many times - opening and closing doors, taking care of lights, passing out handouts, and directing people. He has also maintained the usher schedule, despite all the vacancies and changes, and done so willingly and consistently. If you see him, please thank him for his work. Even though he’d like to pass the baton, he faithfully carries it on.
Christian Neighbors items for October are pasta and pasta sauce. Christian Neighbors has reopened for local visits.
Ushers for October are Jim Winkel, Ron Miller
Christmas volunteers - Fall is here, so now it’s time to start thinking about Christmas. We would like to start forming volunteer teams now for our different Christmas activities and services like decorating, the Hometown parade, Christmas4Kids, and Christmas services. Please touch base with pastor!
