David Arthur William Myers

Dear friends and family of Dave

On Monday, August 28th David Arthur William Myers finished his journey with us and was brought to his eternal rest with Jesus. Christians everywhere have been represented well by Dave. He was baptized as a child and as a young adult consciously decided to live in that commitment. He made his faith evident at Peace and other congregations as an faithful father and husband, an elder, a Sunday School teacher, and loving Christian.

Now Dave has finished his race. I am comforted to know that Jesus won the race for him and so has assured him of the crown of life. I pray that you have the same comfort and look to your own eternal rest:

“Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude… shouting, ‘Hallelujah! For our God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bridegroom has made himself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given him to wear.'” (Revelation 19)

No matter what else Dave endured, he never turned away from the body of Christ. He missed it when he was not here. He eagerly desired the Lord’s Supper, confessed his sins, and sorrowed over the evil of life. His dear wife Jeanne faithfully cared and watched over him, and they worked mightily to love their friends and family.

We will miss his companionship.

Please pray for Dave’s family:

Lord Jesus, by your victory over death you have opened the way to eternal life for all of us. Comfort Dave’s family in their loss. Let their grief empty their souls of pain, hurt, and disappointment. Fill them up with new life. Renew their joy each morning. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
