DESCRIPTION:Every other year the congregations we are affiliated with in th
 e greater Michigan area gather for a district convention.\nThe convention 
 conducts the business of the congregations. For example\, we make recommen
 dations to the synod. We provide counseling and care to called workers. We
  collaborate on new mission starts in our area. We plan youth events. And 
 much more. \n\nEach congregation sends a pastor and a voting member to th
 e convention.\n\nThis year’s convention will be June 1st to 3rd. We can 
 head out either the night of May 31st or the morning of June 1st. We’ll 
 return by June 3rd. The church covers the costs of the convention.\nYou ca
